Update from Paul and Fiona
9.30 a.m Nepalese time
Paul and Fiona are on oxygen and have just reported from their rest stop above the Yellow Band, on the way to the South Col, which is where Camp 4 is. (It takes about 30 mins to write and send this report).
They said they slept well last night and that they feel good. Their masks are working well and the weather is perfect. As they look down they can see the cloud layer which is now covering Base Camp. (It is cooling off a bit here and clouding over, with light snow falling, but that’s ok, I would rather they had the good weather! They still have to get through the Geneva Spur, and then I will let you know when they reach Camp 4.
It is very exciting being here and listening to their reports on the 2 way radio and then being able to pass them on to you.
I’ll send the next one when I hear from them.
